During an event held in New York today, Microsoft introduced our vision for Microsoft Copilot—a digital companion designed to enhance your entire digital experience. This innovation aims to unify the Copilot user interface across Bing, Edge, Microsoft 365, and Windows. To kick-start this journey, Microsoft is proud to reveal the new Copilot icon and establish a coherent user experience. This transformation will initially launch in Windows on September 26, followed by its integration into Microsoft 365 Copilot when it becomes generally available for enterprise users on November 1.

Microsoft is rolling out a range of innovative products for commercial customers:

  1. Microsoft Copilot in Windows: This feature, available from September 26, simplifies tasks, reduces cognitive load, and provides seamless access via the taskbar or keyboard shortcut. It includes the new Copilot icon, user experience, and Bing Chat, and is free for commercial customers.
  2. Bing Chat Enterprise: Building on Microsoft Copilot, this service adds robust commercial data protection to ensure business data remains secure. It doesn’t save chat data, offers privacy, and isn’t used for training language models. It’s available standalone for $5 per user per month and is included in Microsoft 365 E3 and E5.
  3. Microsoft 365 Copilot: This advanced AI assistant at work offers enterprise-grade security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI. All data processing stays within your Microsoft 365 tenant. Microsoft 365 Chat, the hero experience, goes beyond simple Q&A by searching across your data universe to solve complex work problems. It’s integrated into Microsoft 365 Apps and will be generally available for enterprise customers at $30 per user per month on November 1.

These offerings promise to enhance productivity, data security, and problem-solving capabilities for businesses.

Introducing Microsoft 365 Chat—a Game-Changer in Copilot

Back in March, we introduced you to Copilot and its remarkable potential to boost productivity and unleash creativity within the Microsoft 365 Apps we all rely on daily—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Today, we’re thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking addition to Microsoft 365 Copilot: Microsoft 365 Chat.

You might recall a sneak peek of Microsoft 365 Chat in March, initially known as Business Chat. However, rapid developments over the past few months have elevated it to a whole new league. Microsoft 365 Chat is a game-changer within Microsoft 365 Copilot, offering much more than simple Q&A. It’s designed to conquer complexity, eliminate tedious tasks, and give you back precious time at work.

Think of it as your personal assistant—it understands you, your role, your priorities, and your organization deeply. It has the extraordinary ability to locate anything you need within your files, including those you’ve long forgotten, connect the dots across all your content and context at lightning speed, and seamlessly integrate with the applications essential to your business.

For those in the preview phase, you can start experiencing the power of Microsoft 365 Chat today on Microsoft365.com or within Teams when signed in with your work account. In the near future, you’ll find it wherever you spot the Copilot icon while logged in with your work account.

This is a significant leap forward in AI-assisted productivity, and we can’t wait for you to explore its capabilities. Say goodbye to the mundane, and let Microsoft 365 Chat redefine the way you work! 💼
